A Reflexion on Mother's Day

Mother's Day had always been filled with lots of emotions for me. Before my mom passed I was just grateful to still have her around, after was much more difficult. The first Mother's day after she passed I got engaged. That day was filled with lots of mixed emotions. I was so excited to be marrying my best friend, but still mourning the loss of my mother. The next Mother's Day was the worst. I cried a lot during sacrament, and was just sad most of the day. The following year I was pregnant! And the next was my first official Mother's Day. It is always a happy and sad kind of day.

Today I am very grateful for my wonderful mother that raised me. I miss her so much and wish she could see my sweet little girl.

I am grateful that I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a mother. I can not expressed the love I feel for my baby girl. The love between a mother and her child is so strong. She brings so much joy into my life.

I am grateful for Brenda. I could not have chosen a better person for my dad to marry. She is kind and loving. I'm grateful that she is Hadley's grandma and will be a great influence in her life.

I am grateful for a wonderful mother-in-law! She has really taken me under her wing and treats me like one of her own. She is a wonderful grandma to Hadley and a great mom to me.

I am grateful for Grandma! When I married Drew I not only got a wonderful mother-in-law, but I got a great new Grandma. She took great care of us while we lived in Provo, and always makes it special when we come and visit. We wish we could visit more often!

I am grateful for my Unicorn Nana. We don't get to see you often, but you still have been an influence in my life! Thank you.

I am also grateful for my Chicken Nana. She was a wonderful grandma!

Although my own mother is no longer with me, I have been blessed with many wonderful mothers. Thank you for all you do! I love you!

The Month of April

Hadley has been sick this month. First she had  Strep and Roseola  at the same time. Poor girl did not feel good. She didn't eat and just slept on Mama all day(all week long). If you look closely at the picture you can see her rash. Two weeks later she got a 24 hour Flu bug. Drew and I were also lucky enough to catch it too.

It was Drew's birthday! The Sunday before we had friends over to celebrate.

The presents... Drew also got a BBQ (a cheap one from Walmart)

Hadley leaning in for a kiss, mouth wide open! At least she doesn't stick her tongue out anymore.

Hadley loves putting things in her various bags, purses, and buckets, then proceeds to carry them around the house.

Getting ready to eat dinner.

Hadley is a climber. She gets into everything!
